Solar installation in Kiserian & Kajiado County | Technics Electricals & Solar

Our technicians don’t just fit parts; they set up systems built to last. We install hybrid systems that keep your lights, TV, fridge and Wi-Fi on when KPLC goes off, and off-grid systems for plots and ranches away from the grid. Every job follows the same path: design, supply, install and after-sales support.

Hybrid systems for KPLC outages

A hybrid inverter charges your battery from solar and from KPLC, can run your home from solar by day, and switches over automatically when the grid goes off. Only the circuits wired to it stay on, so we agree with you which ones matter. Heavy heating loads such as instant showers, cookers and kettles usually stay on KPLC.

What affects the price

  • Battery size (kWh): how long your backup lasts.
  • Inverter size (kW): how much can run at the same time.
  • Panels and roof: the number of panels, and whether the roof is iron sheets, tiles or concrete, plus its height and access.
  • Cabling and protection: cable runs, mounting rails, breakers and isolators.
  • Distance: how far the site is from our shop in Kiserian.

Complete YACHU kits cost KSh 90,000 to KSh 400,000 for the equipment: 2.5kWh with a 1.5kW inverter (KSh 90,000) or a 3.5kW inverter (KSh 135,000), 5kWh (KSh 300,000) and 10kWh (KSh 400,000). Prices exclude installation unless stated; installation is quoted after a free site visit.

FAQ

Installation FAQs

Direct answers on prices, sizing, installation and delivery. Anything else? Ask the counter.

Is installation included in the solar package price?

No. Solar package prices at Technics Electricals & Solar cover the equipment listed and exclude installation unless stated. We quote installation after a free site visit, once we know your location, roof type, cable runs and what you want to power. Our team installs across Kajiado County, including Kiserian, Ngong, Ongata Rongai and Matasia.

Mounting rails, cables, isolators and breakers depend on your site, so ask us which parts the installation quote covers.

Do you offer free solar sizing?

Yes. Tell Technics Electricals & Solar what must stay on during a KPLC blackout and for how many hours, and we will recommend a YACHU kit or a custom build at no charge. WhatsApp your appliance list, call +254 719 626200, or bring it to our Kiserian shop. You see the equipment price in KSh before we visit.

How does solar installation work at Technics Electricals & Solar?

In four steps. We size the system free from your appliance list, supply the kit from our Kiserian shop, then our team mounts the panels, wires the inverter, battery and protection, and commissions the system. After handover we show you how it works and help with after-sales questions; warranty is the manufacturer’s, so ask us for terms.

  1. Size it: tell us what must stay on, and for how long.
  2. Supply it: kit and protection from our counter, priced in KSh.
  3. Install it: site visit and quote, then fitting and commissioning.
  4. Back it: handover and after-sales support.

How long does a solar installation take?

It depends on the system size, the roof and the cable runs, so we give you a date and a time estimate with your installation quote after the site visit. A small kit on an easy roof is quicker than a 10kWh system with ten panels and long cable runs. We agree the timing with you before we start.

Do you install solar for schools, churches and ranches?

Yes. Besides homes and shops, Technics Electricals & Solar sizes and installs solar for schools, churches, institutions, ranches, farms and off-grid plots across Kajiado County. Larger sites often need more storage, more panels or several systems, so we start with a site visit and a list of what must run, then quote.

For compounds and gates far from a power line, solar floodlights (from KSh 4,000) are a quick win.
