A complete YACHU hybrid solar package for homes and small businesses that want solar power by day and battery backup through KPLC blackouts. It combines a 5.12kWh lithium battery, a 6.2kW hybrid inverter and six 610W bifacial panels, 3,660W of panels in total. The built-in MPPT controller charges the battery from the panels, and the hybrid inverter can also use KPLC power when it is on.
What it can run, and for how long, depends on your appliances: send us your list and we will check it. Installation is quoted separately unless stated.

Ask on WhatsAppAt Technics Electricals & Solar in Kiserian, complete YACHU solar kits cost KSh 90,000 to KSh 400,000. KSh 90,000 buys a 2.5kWh lithium battery, 1.5kW hybrid inverter and two 610W panels; KSh 400,000 buys the 10kWh kit. Prices exclude installation unless stated. The right size depends on your load, and we size it free.
Technics Electricals & Solar sells the YACHU 5kWh solar system for KSh 300,000. It includes a 5.12kWh lithium battery (51.2V 100Ah, Grade A CATL cells), a 6.2kW hybrid inverter with built-in MPPT and six 610W bifacial panels (3,660W). Installation is quoted separately after a site visit, unless stated.
Ask us which mounting and cabling parts come with the kit before you order.
As a rough estimate, a 5kWh lithium system can run about 500W of lights, TV, Wi-Fi and an efficient fridge for roughly eight hours from a full battery, while six 610W panels recharge it by day. Cookers, kettles, irons and instant showers need a bigger system. Your appliances may differ, so we size it free.
The estimate assumes you use about 80% of the 5.12kWh battery (around 4kWh) and that the panels get a sunny day. WhatsApp us your appliance list with the hours you need each one, and we will check it against the kit.
Usually, yes, within the inverter’s limits. You can add a matching battery for longer backup or more panels for faster charging, as long as the voltage matches and the inverter’s solar input can take them. The 5kWh and 10kWh kits share the same 6.2kW inverter, so the step up is mainly battery and panels.
Tell us your current set-up before you buy extra parts and we will check the battery model, voltage and panel limits for you.
It depends on what must stay on and for how long. For lights, TV and Wi-Fi through an evening, a 2.5kWh YACHU kit (from KSh 90,000) is a sensible starting point; for a fridge and longer outages, look at the 5kWh kit (KSh 300,000). Send your appliance list and we size it free.
Kenya Power’s planned-maintenance notices have listed Lower Matasia and Ngong Hills (for example on 18 March 2026), so a hybrid system that switches over automatically is worth planning for.
