Electric water heaters and cookers draw a heavy current for long periods, so each should be on its own circuit with a switch close to the appliance. A double-pole switch cuts both live and neutral, and the indicator shows at a glance when the heater is on, which helps avoid leaving it running all day. The cable and breaker for these circuits are sized by your electrician to the appliance rating.
The water-heater switch is listed at 86 × 86 mm with 60.3mm fixing centres, the usual size for a single wall box, so it replaces a standard plate without new boxes. Buying a whole job in one brand keeps the plates matching from room to room.
Both brands cover everyday switch and socket jobs. Powermax plates are listed as flame-retardant, and the range adds a separate water-heater switch with an LED indicator; Tronic adds a full set of breakers, LED bulbs and tape. Prices are close: the 13A single switched socket is KSh 220 in Powermax and KSh 200 in Tronic.

Ask on WhatsAppAt Technics Electricals & Solar in Kiserian, the Powermax 13A single switched socket costs KSh 220 and the 13A twin switched socket KSh 300. Both take 3-pin UK-type plugs and have flame-retardant plates. Powermax 2-way wall switches start at KSh 120 for a single gang.
The Powermax 45A water-heater switch costs KSh 500. It is double-pole, so it cuts both live and neutral, has an LED indicator, measures 86 × 86 mm with 60.3mm fixing centres and is listed to BS EN 60669-1. Fit it close to the heater, on the heater's own circuit.

The Powermax 45A cooker unit costs KSh 650 at our Kiserian shop. It is rated 45A 250V, has flush neon indicators and two earth terminals, and is listed with a fire-resistant polycarbonate body. Install it on a dedicated cooker circuit, with the cable and breaker sized by your electrician to the cooker's rating.
