What we collect

Your name, phone number and email address when you call, WhatsApp, email or use our contact form.
What you tell us about your needs, such as appliance lists, materials lists and photos of your roof, distribution board or parts.
Your location or address when you ask for delivery, a site visit or an installation.
Order, payment and warranty records, such as receipts and the products you bought.
Basic website usage data, as described below.

Why we use it

To answer your questions, size systems and prepare quotes.
To process orders, deliveries, installations and after-sales support.
To handle warranty claims with manufacturers and suppliers.
To keep the records the law requires, such as sales and tax records.

We use your information because you asked us to, to deliver what you ordered, to meet our legal duties, or for our legitimate interest in running the business. We only send follow-up or offer messages if you agree, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share only what is needed: with our own delivery and installation team, with manufacturers or suppliers for a warranty claim, and with the service providers that run our website, email and messaging. WhatsApp is run by Meta, so messages you send there are also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.

Website analytics

Our website may use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits and popular pages without building a profile of you or following you across other sites. If that changes, we will update this page.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages only as long as we need them to help you, and order, warranty and accounting records for as long as warranty periods and Kenyan law require. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be told how we use your data, to see it, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to its use, including for marketing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@technics.co.ke and we will respond as soon as we can. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

Keeping it safe

We limit access to the people who need it and take reasonable steps to protect your information on our phones, computers and website.
