A YACHU 3.5kW single-phase hybrid inverter for 24V battery systems, for homes and shops that want to run more appliances at once, such as lights, TV, Wi-Fi and a fridge, depending on the battery. One built-in MPPT charge controller handles the solar panels, so no separate controller is needed.

  • 3.5kW, 24V battery, single phase
  • 1 built-in MPPT charge controller
  • High-frequency design
  • Programmable settings

It pairs with one 25.6V lithium battery, such as the YACHU 2.5kWh 25.6V 100Ah, or two 12V batteries in series, and is the inverter in our 2.5kWh, 3.5kW solar package. Installation is quoted separately unless stated.

Questions about this item

Straight answers before you buy. Anything else? Ask the counter.

Can a hybrid inverter keep my house running during a KPLC blackout?

Yes, within its size. A hybrid inverter charges your battery from solar panels and KPLC power, then switches over automatically when the grid goes off, so connected lights, TV, Wi-Fi and fridge keep running from the battery. How long it lasts depends on battery size and load; cookers, kettles and water heaters drain small systems fast.

Only the circuits wired to the inverter stay on, so we agree with you which ones matter before we install. WhatsApp us your appliance list and we will size it.

How many batteries do I need for a 3.5kW inverter?

Our YACHU 3.5kW hybrid inverter is a 24V unit, so it pairs with one 24V (25.6V) lithium battery, such as the YACHU 2.5kWh 25.6V 100Ah (KSh 40,000) used in our KSh 135,000 package, or two 12V batteries wired in series. Add storage for longer night-time backup; we size it to your load.

Two 12V 200Ah gel batteries (KSh 30,000 each) in series give a 24V bank of about 4.8kWh, of which roughly half is usable.

How much is a hybrid inverter in Kenya?

At Technics Electricals & Solar in Kiserian, YACHU hybrid inverters cost KSh 27,000 for the 1.5kW 12V, KSh 33,000 for the 3.5kW 24V and KSh 45,000 for the 6.2kW 48V. Each has a built-in MPPT solar charge controller and is listed with a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Installation is quoted separately.

Pick the size by what must run at the same time, and match the battery to the inverter voltage. Ask us for the warranty terms.

What is a hybrid inverter?

A hybrid inverter is the control box of a solar system: it takes power from solar panels, a battery and KPLC, decides which to use, charges the battery and switches over automatically when the grid fails. YACHU hybrid inverters at Technics Electricals & Solar cost KSh 27,000 (1.5kW), KSh 33,000 (3.5kW) and KSh 45,000 (6.2kW).
